Where did Rufus's Name Come From?
Here's something that you probably didn't know about my son Rufus Alexander Ferguson.
He is named after my father - Rufus Alexander Ferguson. So he and his granddaddy have the same name.
When I told my pop that I name my son after him while I was in the delivery room, Man, he was stoked!!
I think the dude has been on a high ever since and hasn't come down. I can understand that. My son give me the same feeling.
I told you earlier that my son's birthday is on the 5th of April, mine is on the 3rd and my wife's is on the 8th, well, my dad's is on the 28th of April. I know it's wild, but that's how it is. And my son's Godmother's birthday is on the same day as my wife's birthday.
Oh, if you want to know where my son's name (well I guess my father's name) comes from it comes from the Bible.
In the book of Mark, chapter 15 and verse 21 it reads: "A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross."
So now you know.
My main man's birthday is on the 5th of April and it gonna be suuuuuhhhhweeeett!!!

Like I told you at homecoming, I'm really stoked that you are Traci are happy, and congratulations on the birth of your first son! What a beautiful story both of you turned out to be. You are still wise beyond your years. Let me know if there is anything that I can do to support out here on the West coast.

Congratulations on the 1st year of knowing this Lil' Man. I remember when I met my kids 8, 7 and 6 years ago. They are a trip! Just wait until he starts talking. Enjoy.
Peace,
